Stage 2
Answer the questions
Explain your plan out loud or in text, write the code, then handle follow-ups about it.
Stage 3

You get scores for every question, plus the habits that kept showing up.
What a run looks like
Here's a made-up example, not a screenshot of a real session.
Example · Backend Engineer, Node.js
Given a stream of request timestamps, write a function that returns how many requests happened in the last 60 seconds. It gets called again every time a new request arrives.
function requestsInLastMinute(timestamps, now) { return timestamps.filter(t => now - t <= 60000).length;}That scans the whole array on every call. What's the time complexity, and what would you change if 10,000 requests a second came in?

About
Bryan
I'm Bryan, a high school student. I built Codrill to help people looking for jobs in computer science, coding and software, because the job market is rough right now. So why not use what's getting in the way to help us instead? It's free.
FAQ
You can. But you'd have to run the interview yourself every time: ask for your plan first, not cave and hand over the answer, ask follow-ups about your actual code, and score it the same way each run. Codrill does that part, so one practice run is comparable to the next.
